my daughter, now 27 , had trouble sleeping all her life. even as an infant, she would stay up until 3:am. she would then sleep for 12 hours. no matter what I did, this was her normal routine. finally at age 20 a doctor referred her for a sleep study. she was diagnosed with delayed sleep onset syndrome. treatment was with antidepressant whose side effect was excitation. she took it in the morning upon arising. It worked!. Now she doesn't take any medication and is always sleeping. I think she's making up for lost time. Good luck
