Posted by sasha on April 08, 1998 at 05:29:19:My problem is that normally I can sleep fine; normally, that is, when there is nothing going on in my life which is exciting or important. However, if I ever have something to look forward to, for example, Christmas, a party, a holiday or even a night out I simply will not get ANY sleep the night before which makes it impossible to enjoy the event. As soon as I hear the news of something fun or exciting I start to get stressed at the very thought of the sleep I know I am going to miss. I know this is a self fulfilling prophesy but I have tried telling myself not to worry about it. I have tried sleeping tablets . Please can someone help, I feel that I am condemned to never enjoy myself again as the sleep problem stops any planning for the future.
Any advice greatly appreciated
