Jeff:
I can empathize with you and your kids. When I was married to my first wife, her main complaint was that I ground my teeth. While I was in Seminary (and couldn't really afford it), we spent about $2,000 on getting my teeth taken care of, so I wouldn't grind them.
I have remarried, and this wife has no complaints about my grinding my teeth--now I have Obstructive Sleep Apnea and Narcolepsy.
It probably would be a good idea to find a dentist (probably through the local Dental Association) who does work in this area. If the kids are allowed to continue to grind their teeth, it may stress the teeth to the point of breaking them.
