Going through the motions...(Looking for a sleep study)

Posted by Going through the motions... on April 12, 1998 at 10:22:45:

Since about 1992, I've noticed a subtle but definite decline in my memory, speech patterns, etc. After going to numerous doctors and trying various medicines (without much success), I think I have narrowed the problem down: even I go through the motion of sleep, my body rests, but my brain doesn't. Since I don't think I'm particulary stressed out, I think it must something physiological (NOT apnea, anxiety, etc.).

The sleep centers I've called don't accept my insurance, so I am willing to take the alternate route: enrolling in a sleep study. If you know of any (especially in the Los Angeles area) or have been through one and have gotten help, I would greatly appreciate hearing from you.
