This is a very REAL problem... I have used the multiple alarms across the room from me. Also, having a friend call, or, now I have phone-company voice-mail and have it call me on the phone, leaving the phone away from bedside so I won't just hang it up.

I have found for me that I have "trained" myself not to wake-up by not waking/getting up when the alarm goes off. Also, chronic too little sleep, too much work (as in two jobs) contributed.
