A friend of mine, who is not only a championship Barbershop (singer) bass, but a champion snorer, as well, received a real cute alarm clock from his mom as a gag gift.

His clock looks like a small dog, holding a bugle. When the alarm goes off, the alarm is an electronic version of "Reveille," and is just about as loud as a 727 taking off over your head. He even had the gall to bring this clock on one of our Barbershop retreats, and I was in the same cabin with him.

You might try finding a clock similar to this, or try finding somebody who handles items for the hearing impaired. I remember having seen a website for these kind of items, but I don't remember where it is.
