You might get in touch with the people at the Stanford University Sleep Research center, who, I believe, are one of the organizations which have a link to Sleep Net.

From my understanding, some of their major research is done with dogs, who have sleep disorders, such as Sleep Apnea, Narcolepsy, or Cataplexy. I understand that the reason they do so much research with dogs is that the sleep disorders behave much the same way in dogs that they do in humans.
