room temperature

Posted by andrea on April 21, 1998 at 16:10:44:

I'm a college student living in an apartment with three other girls, and one of them always turns the thermostat up to 78 degrees at night. The rest of us wake up in the middle of the night sweating (if we can even fall asleep in the first place) and have pleaded with her, but to no avail. If anybody could provide information about possible negative health effects of sleeping in an environment that is too warm, I'd be eternally grateful - maybe when presentd with actual facts, she'd HAVE to listen to us. Thanks!
