College and narcolepsy.....SOMEBODY HELP PLEASE!!!

Posted by GIPSON on April 21, 1998 at 22:01:24:

I am a new college student trying to deal with growing adversity of my narcolepsy. Because of the cost of school, I can no longer afford treatment, and my symptoms are getting worse and worse. I am extremly scared. I know that it is affecting my grades. Also, I was diagnosed almost a year ago and I am still learning. I have days where I am so tired that I don't even feel like myself. Its extremly scary on test days. Also, during these days, I seem to find myself doing and forgetting the most basic of things. I need help and advise on alternative treatment (or at least the cheapest medications). How do you get through those tough days? Feel free to E-Mail me directly. Thank You I am new to the web and I admittingly had no idea forums like this existed. Thank You for your replys. Gipson
