I haven't tried the tempur-pedic mattress (but wasn't happy with the tempur-pedic pillow--too hard). Did try the Select Comfort (and returned it--just not comfortable for me).

FINALLY spent a night in a FLOATATION BED and went out the next day and bought one: They are inexpensive, offer good lumbar support, and have a nice, comforting, soft feel.

Lately realized my floatation bed would be even more comfortable if I placed the tubes crossways (instead of head to foot), but I haven't acquired more tubes to do that yet. In the meantime, I tend to sleep diagonally on it.
