Could you still be covered by your parents insurance? If so, see a neurologist that specializes in sleep disorders. Also, your school insurance may cover part of your costs, if you already had a diagnosis from a neurologist as having narcolepsy. Sandman is right about taking naps when you can. Even when on medication, naps are still part of the routine. Becoming scared and worried can add to your tireness, it has for me before. So I try to think positive, and be open about it with my professors. Sometimes I have to stand up in the back of the class to stay awake. You may want to check out the Narcolepsy Network, linked on Sandman's Link page. They may have some helpful resources. Wish you the best and hope you don't give up.
