sinemet and restless leg syndrome

Posted by John on April 27, 1998 at 19:54:40:

My study showed that I have restless leg syndrome to some extent in addition to obstructive sleep apnea. My wife says I have it (restless leg syndrome) a lot. I am still trying to get adjusted to sleep apnea and cpap, etc. but wonder if there is any advice for sinemet. I have been taking 1 tablet 25/100 past couple of weeks after I told dr that I do not feel more rested after cpap. His thought was that perhaps the legs were keeping me from good sleep I guess. I read of a concern that sinemet may cause Parkinson's or related symptoms. I don't need anything else. Frankly I'm not FEELING effects too much from cpap or sinemet. I also had consult with EENT dr and apparently look like a likely candidate for all of that surgery. My wife says cpap is great though--not to stay awake all night and listen to whether I'll start breathing again. Any thoughts on sinemet or otherwise? I'm still trying to piece together. Thank you.
