Sara,

I received a phototherapy light at the request of my sleep specialist. It does not require a perscription. The company I ordered from is canadian: Northern Light Technologies. Their phone # is (800) 263-0066 and their web site address is: http://www.generation.net/northern
I also have trouble sleeping durning the winter months, but have no other symptoms of "SAD" than insomnia. I refer to my situation as "seasonal insomnia". This has truely been the roughest winter for me yet. At first I was convienced the light was working for me, but now I am not so conveinced. As a rule my insomnia should start to subside by this time of the year. But even just last night I couldn't sleep without taking something. Hope the light works better for you. The cost of the light is $230-US, which encludes the cost of shipping and handling. Good Luck! Bev
