It sounds like a true insomnia to me! Do you feel conscious all night or most of it? Like you're laying there for six hours, meditating, more than sleeping? That inbetween thinking and dreaming is where I get to. This can be a freestanding condition in its own right. Pills may be the best course of action, at least for now.
