I had the turbinetomy because I had so much congestion I could not use the CPAP. In my case it did not do anything for me. Real problem (with a better doctor) was sinus infection related.

I can only see having the turbinates removed or reduced if they are abnormally swollen. The price of doing this will be a dryer nose since the turbinates help to warm and moisten air coming into the nose.
