nasal pillows - sizes

Posted by Jeff on May 05, 1998 at 08:50:36:

Hi all,

I plainly seem to get more air when using nasal pillows than when using a mask. Where I used to get a great seal with the pillows, I now get frequent leaks and sores in my nose from the pillows shifting around. It's as though the extended use of the pillows has increased the diameter of my nostrils and the large pillows are no longer large enough. Also, the pillows used to seal at the end of my nostrils and I was getting great airflow. Now they insert much further into the nostril and the open end seems to close off resting against the inner surfaces of the nose. This is worse than not using CPAP at all. I am being told that large is the biggest size pillows come in. Can anyone steer me to a supplier that offers pillows large enough to help me? Any other suggestions?

Jeff
