I am a sleep tech so I can help with terminology. An apnea/hypopnea index is the number of apneas & hypopneas per hour of sleep. An obstructive hypopnea is a partial airway obstructive lasting at least 10secs which causes an arousal &/or a 4% oxygen desaturation. Sleep latency is the amount of time in minutes it took for you to go to sleep during the test. Sleep is composed of Stage 1 (light sleep), stage 2 (we spend most of our sleep in), stages 3 & 4 (deep sleep), stage REM (dream sleep). Of course you should ultimately be asking these questions of your doctor or a sleep specialist in order to come to some understanding of the results of your study.
