I purchased an Oasis humidifier with my CPAP approx 1.5 mths. It made a great difference for my sinuses as I had demo'd my present machine without any humidifer.

It has prevented drying out my sinuses and I feel much better than I did without it. It uses over an inch of water during the night. The air was indeed cold but I pulled the hose under the covers until I purchased a sleeve from Condo supplies on the internet.

I too had read all the opinions on this page regarding pass over units, my supplier was not convinced tht a heated unit was necessary and in fact had only sold one in my area in 3 years! The Oasis works for me.
