Hi Dave,

You are probably correct to associate this neurological disfunction with your sleep. I recommend that you consult with a neurologist and look at your EEG, getting baseline information (asymptomatic) and information gathered when you are acute; possibly also have a sleep study (PSG) done. Often sleep can be severely disturbed but the individual affected is unaware, leading to unexplained wake-time disturbance and other effects.
