It really sounds like you have a sleep disorder. Sounds like narcolepsy to me. You REALLY need to see a sleep specialist. No need to endanger your life. I have narcolepsy but I don't have all the classic symptoms like vivid dreams etc. Everyone can have varying degrees of the illness. About sleeping with your eyes partially open, I think I've seen letters in the archives referring to that. Check that out. (I do have a niece who's always done that. But she's had no sleep problems.)
