I understand your frustration. I too was diagnosed with CFS. I got some relief when I was treated with sleep medication. The sleep medication helped with the fatigue but not the "foggy" headed feeling that follows you around all of the time. I finally found relief from the "fog" when my doctor prescribed a SSRI class antidepressant (zoloft). We continued to work with various drug combinations finally settling on Zoloft in the morning and Trazadone in the evening to help with the sleep.

This combination seemed to snap me out of the CFS cycle and put me well on the road to recovery.

This all started for me in 1988 when I was 27 and started to clear up about three to four years later.
