I have exacty the same problem as you have. I suffer also 3 and 1/2 years now from Insomnia. My live is also very normal (no stress, no problems) but still I have no good sleep.
At the moment I follow Acupuncture, but I don't notify any progress until now. (3e session)
I can only improve my sleep by calming my mind during the day, this means "stop thinking as much as possible" I continue to take 2 or 3 sleeping pills in a week in order to feel a little better.
