Not to play the Devil's advocate, but some respiratory-related illnesses are exacerbated (worsened) by cooler air temps. Asthmatics can suffer acute attacks brought on by the drop in nighttime temperature. We live down here in Biloxi, MS, and I find it rather comfortable if I can sleep somewhere around 78-80 degrees. I guess it must be regional! Maybe your roomie has a slow metabolism.
