burning pain in my nose

Posted by lew on May 16, 1998 at 08:15:39:

Hello everyone. I'm a newcomer to cpap---I've been using it for a little over a month. Last night I woke up with a searing/burning pain in my left nostrile, similar to the
burning pain I've had when swimming and getting "water up
my nose". The pain woke me out of a dead sleep and I had to
take off the mask and try and sleep without cpap. This was
terrible and I finally just got up. It certainly was a reality check on how much the cpap means to my health and
quality of life. Does anyone have any suggestions for treating my nose problem? Has anyone had similar experiences---did they clear up by themselves, or was there
a medication available that was helpful?

TIA,
Lew
