Problems with Whisper Swivel?

Some people have mentioned to me that the Respironics Whisper Swivel has problems with the way it removes (or doesn't) CO2. I currently have the Gold Seal mask. If I switch to a Mirage Mask which everyone seems to rave about, does it use a different approach towards CO2 discharge?
Any comments?
