It's an awful game, but you basically have to be patient and learn the rules. I had similar problems and knew I wanted a BiPAP. So I first got a CPAP, tried in earnest for a week, then got my Doctor to whine to the insurance company, at which time they relented. You basically have to step your way through the process. If your Doctor is patient and is willing to make the calls to the Insurance company, you will get there.
