Delayed Sleep Phase Syndrome ( DSPS ) Help

Posted by Alex on May 21, 1998 at 14:33:18:

Hi There

Whilst i don't suffer myelf, my Girlfriend has suffered from DSPS for the past 15 years. This was however only diagnosed a few years ago.

I am living with her " Light Box ", and her VERY strict Sleep routine, with few problems, but until the summer came around she became Very Depressed. At one point she kicked me out. Now the days have become longer and lighter, she is fine.

I have searched thw WEB, and various other resources for info, and whilst i appreciate that every case is going to be individual, I am finding it hare to help, and even harder to be supportive without any good info on the subject and it's related problems.

If any one who reads this forum can supply me with some advice on how to cope with this illness i would aprecitae it.

P.S I am Dyslexic.

Many Thanks
