Posted by Michael on May 23, 1998 at 17:14:44:I've been using a CPAP machine very successfully for about a year, but in the last few months I feel like I'm returning to my pre-CPAP days. Despite a good night's sleep, I'm tired and sleepy during the day, almost every day.
Before you tell me to get another sleep study, my wife is my best monitor and she assures me that I still do not snore or appear to hold my breath while sleeping.
When I first started using the CPAP machine, I noticed a dramatic difference -- I needed less sleep and I felt amazingly better. After a few months the "amazingly better" feeling wore off but I put that down to just growing accustomed to CPAP. Since then my habits and life have not changed substantially -- certainly not sufficiently to explain my growing tiredness.I'd be interested to hear others' experiences in this area and any recommendations you have.
Thanks,
Michael
