My brother had the surgery for his sleep apnea. It was great for a few months but now he is back to where he was pre-surgery. He says it was not worth the pain and discomfort he experienced because he still has to use CPAP.

It has been suggested that I might want to try the surgery because my pressure has increased so rapidly, but after reading some of these forums, I've just about decided not to do it.

By the way, my father, my brother, and myself all have obstructive sleep apnea. Other letters I've seen here talked about hereditary on female side of family. In this family it is father, brother and sister.
