Since memory loss is one of the symptoms of untreated apnea, it is likely that your use of CPAP is only partially effective. Check for leaks in your system, mask fit, pressure settings, etc.
In my ten years using CPAP, I've had problems with all of the above. One thing that helped me greatly (that I still use) is a pillow that is tubular shaped (but more like a bone) that supports your neck and makes it less likely for the mask to leak during the night.
