Did they tell you that your mass was an incidental finding? Mine is 1.5cm and I don't know if it's a tumor or cyst either. As a matter of fact he told me I had something growing in my head in a five minute office visit. When I made another appointment for my questions he was 10 minutes late, took 10 minutes to tell me that it means nothing and they find these all the time and then left for another appointment while my mouth was still open to ask only the second of many questions on my list. I wish he'd get sick sometime!
