Eva,
hmm symptoms - not real sure. Don't have headaches altho I suffered a severe auto accident 15 years ago that gave me head trauma and headaches back then. Terrible insomnia though!!!I am fighting to prove that the production of melatonin can influence the pituitary and thus affect other reproductive hormones since I am having those types of problems. I have found several items that show this is possible - one of which was from Dept. of Oncology at Mayos (so I'll try to hang that over their head if they call me incidental!). :)
I don't know if I told you that I am going there next week and am really hoping for some success. I don't understand how I've found these articles from Mayos' research, but I've spoke with two women on the net who've gone to Mayos and feel that they wasted time and money. Hope I do better!
I don't want surgery like most of us (altho Dart Winkler, a graduate law student I've 'met' from Colorado) actually had the surgery and is due for another this year - - I just want some respect and someone to explain to me if there is going to be something serious happen to me or not!
Do you feel Hopkins blew you off by not telling you everything? And your local Dr. would release the report to you? I never thought to ask thinking they would say I wouldn't understand them and they don't need me doing any more research. The endo I went to thought I was crazy enough when I walked in with a file of info when I thought it was my thyroid at first!
If I don't hear from you before I leave on Tuesday I'll keep checking in - I'm going to take my laptop with me so it'll be kindof fun to communicate while I'm actually going through all the testing! Everyone can tell me what to ask the next day!
