I am 38 years old and also have a pineal cyst about the same size. I was diagnosed with the cyst more than 3 years ago. It was found during an MRI. I had experienced a couple of bouts of double vision and my physician determined the MRI was necessary.

For the first six months after diagnosis, I too was upset and depressed. After visiting a neurosurgeon and a neurologist, I came to realize that my cyst was something I had to learn to live with. My symptoms have not worsened and I am no longer seeing any physician on a regular basis for the cyst. We did however monitor the size for the first 2 years and there was no change.

I also read the information contained in the URL mentioned my Ms. Dixon. The gentleman who wrote the article is right on the money. The symptoms he described, including the hung over feeling upon waking, are exactly right.

I have learned to cope with the cyst and limit activities that seem to bother me such as bending at the knees for long periods of time. I also do not pick up heavy items since that tends to skew my vision some. I also try to limit the amount of stress I take on since that tends to make things worse.

I will check periodically to see what other responses you receive.
