I just found out about my cyst. I also read that the pineal gland had to do with contractions at birth. Not to scare your wife but almost 5yrs ago i had a son (almost didn't). He had one bad kidney (not to do with the cyst i have... it was multicystic and just one of those things) anyway after many ultrasounds was given the okay for regular delivery. I had 5 min contractions for at least 5 hrs. They moved to induce. Some how i ran into problems not being able to dilate, it was a fracas and chaos broke out due to a nurse not paying attention. I really don't know if this cyst caused a problem with my system not being able to dilate or contract properly. We ended up in the OR very quickly with a C-section. He had lost a heartbeat due to beating his head against the wall (as they put it) by trying to get out and not being able to. Maybe something to watch for just in case. Somehow I was in danger....they wouldn't say why.......but we did pull out of it. He came out 20 min. later, me almost an hour and a half (what went on I'll never know). So be careful and watch the monitor at all times for the baby's heart beat. Don't let it fall too far. Ask the parameters .. if my doctor hadn't shown up when he did who knows? This was my 3rd child, first with demerol, my 2nd no drugs (we showed up completely dilated) the third is my last no more chances.

My cyst is only 1cm, i guess that's not suppose to matter. I was told MRI was normal. We'll see...
