Unrelieved chronic sleep deprivation can result in many of the symptoms you describe, including compromised imune system function. I would not submit to surgery until all other options had been examined. If there is a long history of heavy snoring, and excessive daytime sleepiness, an overnight posysomnography (sleep study) is indicated. A T&A may be appropriate.
