Thanks for your response. Since my initial email, his condition has worsened. He has continued to suffer repeated infections and problems sleeping. He underwent a tonsilectomy and anoidectomy last week. According to the surgen, his tonsils were huge and they really had to dig deep to get them all out (recovery has not been pleasant). Although I am certain it was the right decision to go ahead with the surgery, I still feel like we are treating symptoms and not the cause. We did find out that he is allergic to cats. We had brought a cat in the home for a few weeks before his problems began. I also recieved another email which suggested his symptoms may indicate lime desease. Although we live in Texas now, we spent over three years living in Europe. I plan on discussing this possibility with his doctor after he recovers from the surgery.
