Regarding the issue on narcolepsy. The way I interpret the ICSD is as follows:

1. Cataplexy is not required for the diagnosis of narcolepsy, as long as threis EDS, all the other associated features (sleep paralysis, hypnagogic hallucinations, automatic behaviors, disrupted sleep), and the PSG criteria fit.

2. However, if there is a certain history of cataplexy, then the only other feature required is a history of recurrent daytime naps or lapses into sleep.
