Good comments from the prevoius answers:
RLS: sometimes better in the mornings and progessively worsen in late afternoon and evenings. Would check thyroid function and iron study- esp ferritin. Treat if less than 50 with Fe. Consider opiate for RLS/PLMS, also good for the fibromylagia.
OSA: Fragmented sleep ??from pain, plms, uars, reflux or nocturnal hypoxia from obesity. ABG preferably from indwelling A-line. She may breathe ok while awake but not in sleep. Sleep log, drug screen, relax technique and CPAP desensitization.
