First of all, thank you for your fantastic responses. There should be a handout or discussion of this subject that is as clear, in the Part II course.

Now, there is a category of arrhythmia that does not need to be interrupted but DOES need to be referred.

Extrapolating from your statements, I infer that this includes: uncontrolled a-fib, continuous a-fib, 2nd degree or third degree heart block, intermittant V-tach greater than 7 beats.

Have I missed anything?

Regarding GERD arousals, if this is in the differential and the pt has been referred for EDS, what do we do? Refer back to referring doc for 24 hr probe or empirical Rx? Or do the PSG with probe?
