CSA is common in OSA patients who are recently treated. They often go away sometimes in the night of treatment if enough time is available (usually not available in a split night study.) You must not chase csa. Why bipap? Was he not tolerating the pressure? Probably could be slowly titrated on cpap or slowly bringing the two pressures together if enough time available and get good control. Also need to correlate it with clinical condition, EDS, general subjective symptoms. CPAP titration is a black art! Good question and often enough seen.
