The term "Respiratory Event Related Arousal" is an accpeted term -- but yo have to be able to link the arousal to a respiratory event. If you are not sure you could ask for more objective measures to increase your confidence. In the absence of using PES many clinicians have opted for an empirical trial of CPAP. If the arousals go away, it could be infered that the cause was related to ariway obstruction. ( you have the paper discussing RERAs in your handouts)
