I would agree if there are arousals associated the prefered term would be RERA.
but if there are no arousals you would just describe what you see. " apparent hypopnea but
without associated O2 desaturation." These events would become significant if they are associated with arousals and consequent sleep fragmentation, increasing the possibility of causing decrements in daytime fuctioning.
