In adults the criteria is >10 seconds. I cannot find a start time. I assume that it starts at the end of the last expiration. Is this true or will it be that close? Therefore, an epoch that starts with an arousal and then an apnea where there is a 12-14 apnea and then terminates with an apnea cannot be scored as sleep because one needs an intervening 10 seconds of sleep. Correct?
