Drug generic names, rather than trade names are always more appropriate.
I would say quoting actual doses is less key than identifying the appropriate class or agent or naming the appropriate generic product.In previous board exams there have been no questions where naming a dose was integral to the correct answer.
To appease your anxiety you can always learn the lowest or 'start dose' of an agent and then quote, stating 'the dose may be titrated to effect', if appropriate.
