Sleeping

Posted by Mary Bernhard on February 11, 2000 at 18:35:21:

I am having trouble getting my 7 wk old to sleep in her bassinette which is next to our bed. I have tried to settle her in when she is sleepy, swaddling her, playing music and/or soft sounds, letting her cry, comforting her - nothing works. She will fall asleep soundly in my arms or our bed but when she is put in the bassinette, once asleep, she is restless and will be awake within 2 or 3 hours. In our bed, she can sleep for about 6 hrs. If I didn't think it would cause a problem later, I would let her sleep with us every night. Any suggestions?

Thank you
Mary Bernhard
