Mary, I also have an 8 week old who hates her bassinett!! She does much better in my bed also. I also found she sleeps much better on her stomach - which, of course, is a no no. Are you nursing? I am, and I am still up with her every 2 - 4 hours at night. But, I must say, I put the bassinett away, and use a cradle now as well as her own crib. On those really rough nights though, she ends up in my bed. I think as long as we don't do that after the 4th or 5th month we'll be ok. I don't think we can spoil them yet. I like sleeping with her anyways. So, I guess my best advice is try putting her down in something else (cradle, crib, etc.). I think the mattress in the bassinett just isn't comfortable for them. Good luck!
