Oh the little angel! My baby (12 weeks now) did the same thing! Sleeping like a rock while I was holding her and BOOM! Up the second I put her down! I guess you can't blame her for wanted to be held. All warm and cozy with mommy for 9 months - it is probably too much to ask that they sleep alone in a cold bed soundly as soon as they come out. Some things you may want to try that worked for us...
1- a hot water bottle can warm up the sheets before you put her down...just make sure it is not too hot before you put her down
2- when you initially lay her down, keep your hands on her firmly, like you are holding her and pat her gently....grandually let go.
3- swaddle swaddle swaddle. It is amazing how much better she sleeps when she is wrapped up. We don't do it as tightly as when she was a new born, just enough to prevent the arm reflex from waking her.
4- a pacifier? You may want to try it just to get her to fall asleep. We put it out once we know she is really sleeping.
5- rocking her gently if you can
6- Never rule out gas. A bubble may be waking her. A little gas medication can't hurt. It is worth a try.
These things have worked for us
Good luck!
