5 month old sleeps on stomach

Posted by Garbo on February 14, 2000 at 11:20:07:

My 5 month old son sleeps on his stomach. This really concerns me because I am afraid of SIDS.I place him on his back and when I return to "check" on him he is on his stomach. He is not capable of rolling from his stomach to his back yet.My son is fairly "big" for his age so he can easily "steamroller" over the top of a sleep positioner. Is their anything that I can do to stop him from sleeping on his stomach or should I just let him be?
