I agree with Melanie. My ped tells me to never wake a sleeping infant. She says that that's how they grow. I now have 2 children and I've never woke either to eat. I've nursed both of them and they never sleep for more than 3 or 4 hours at that age anyways. It sounds to me like you guys are doing alright. Feel lucky that your son sleeps as long as he does. Many of us have infants that are up every couple of hours. I say let sleeping babes lie.
