I have just finished reading a great book about infant message. There is a chapter devoted to message and colicky babies. The message helps to "push out the gas". I just started my 6-week old son on this, so I can't say from personal experience yet but I'm hopeful. The name of the book is "Infant Message A Handbook for Loving Parents" and the author is Vimala Schneider McClure. Also do an AOL search with "infant message" - the same book is listed with a summary of the routine.
